Sheriff’s office: Woman screams, stops home break-in

PICKERINGTON – The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in the 12000 block of Tollgate Road where a woman said three people tried kicking down her door while she was home Wednesday morning, according to law enforcement reports.

The 64-year-old woman said she started screaming when two men, one of them wearing a mask, and a woman with “wild hair” started kicking at the front door.

The woman said one of them knocked loudly on the front door, but she didn’t answer it. When the man thought no one was home, the other man and woman came up to the home and tried to get in, the report said.

The deputy noted damage to the wooden front door in the report.
